By successfully completing the Reporting Course Exam, the recipient of this badge has demonstrated an understanding of the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT) - Disaster Mapping Program, more commonly referred to as Activation. Recipients of this badge are the 'HOT First Responders', they're typically ready on a moments notice to create tasks and help prioritize the mapping needs as well as expert mappers themselves. This badge also alerts the Activation Team that the recipient is ready to perform the role under supervision in order to be endorsed to do so on behalf of HOT.
